Who Takes Care of our Coast Guard Members When They Are Not Being Paid?

Let's help those who keep us safe on the San Francisco Bay and Northern California Coast!

$2,550 towards $1,000,000

The U.S. Coast Guard helps us in our times of need. Let's help keep them focused on missions and Semper Paratus (Always Ready)!

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) is a nonprofit organization supporting those whose sacrifices keep us safe on the water.

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance is the official aid society for the United States Coast Guard and their families. CGMA supports the Coast Guard's mission of readiness by helping attend to their financial needs in times of crisis. Since its inception in 1924, CGMA has provided over $187 million in direct assistance to the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard. The charitable organization is rated 4/4 Stars by Charity Navigator.

CGMA provides essential financial aid to the Coast Guard community through interest-free loans, grants, financial counseling, and assistance. Support includes educational benefits, disaster relief, emergency assistance, medical, dental, and housing assistance for over 131,000 active duty military men and women, reservists, retirees, civilian employees, and Auxiliarists.

Before the partial government shutdown, CGMA was well positioned to support members of the Coast Guard. During the current lapse in funding the charity is attempting to provide 18 to 30 percent of junior enlisted and civilian members' pay as a stop-gap measure. With dwindling funds, the charity simply cannot sustain this effort.

Let's step up and show our appreciation for our Coast Guard service members. Your donations are fully tax deductible.

If you would like CGMA to direct funds to local service people in your area, please note your donation accordingly:

Honor or remember someone with your gift? Select, "HONOR"

Whom do you want to recognize? "SECTOR SAN FRANCISCO" (or your favorite Local Coast Guard Heroes)

Your relationship to them: Please note what type of boater you are and if you hail from a particular yacht, cruising, fishing, or watersports club. Kayakers, paddle boarders, and kite surfers too!

Let's show how much the local boating community appreciates their service.

I encourage you to share this important fundraising effort with all your favorite boaters and water-enthusiasts.
